VILLA 826 Ahungalla

There’s a large sandy beach about a three-minute walk away, with lovely sunsets. The garden has squirrels and different birds, and monkeys sometimes visit. It felt like an authentic place close to nature, a good break from the busy city. Our room was clean and had good air conditioning, a fan over the bed, and a comfortable bathroom with a water heater. We also had a cozy veranda in front of the room with an outdoor kitchen.

Galbokka sea turtle hatchery is really close, around four minutes by tuc tuc, and you can learn about turtles and release baby ones into the ocean there. As for our stay, we couldn’t have asked for better. The room was clean and had AC, breakfast was wonderful, and the food overall was incredible. We were welcomed into a home and got such a lovely look at Sri Lankan culture and hospitality. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Thank you so much Ramesh 🙏

We stayed here at the end of our trip around Sri Lanka and were welcomed so warmly. The room and bathroom were very clean, and the AC worked well. We had both breakfast and dinner during our stay, and the food was excellent.

Ramesh was incredibly kind and helpful, sharing useful tips on the area, things to do, and nearby restaurants. He even let us take his scooter out to explore. The place was just as described, clean and comfortable, with everything we needed, including hot water and air conditioning. It was peaceful, and the beach was an easy 5-10 minute walk away. Great value and an authentic experience, highly recommend.
