The surf was fast and consistent, and the beach was spotless. We were looking for a quiet spot in Sri Lanka with a great beach, and this was the best place we found after exploring quite a bit. Audrey and her family made our stay really nice. Rooms, food, and boards were all reasonably priced, so it felt like very good value. We’d gladly have paid more.

The beach is lovely for swimming, and there were plenty of surfers out. Bring beach shoes for crossing the black sand in midday heat. Our top-floor shower had a window looking out at palm trees, and the little beach huts and bar were a sweet touch. Audrey made us feel incredibly welcome, like we were staying at home. Breakfast had lots of choices, and everything we ate from the menu was great. The ocean views are spectacular too. With the windows open and just a ceiling fan, I found the heat a bit difficult at first, but the sea breeze helped. It may not be conventional luxury, but I’d happily recommend booking here. Such an idyllic beach stay! 🌴🌊☀️⛱️

The staff were what really made this place stand out. The guys working there were awesome, and the food was very good too. We visited in April, and the surf was still great, better than anywhere else along the Matara coastline. The rooms were nice enough.

Audrey runs this cozy place, and she has such a warm, lovely spirit. We enjoyed the delicious food, especially breakfast, and the terrace has a nice view of the ocean.

We had a really good meal. The food and drinks were good quality and fairly priced, and the staff were friendly. I didn't see the rooms, but the place is right on the beach.
