We spent two weeks here at the beginning of January and had a great time. The treatments and food were amazing, and all the staff were friendly, helpful, and very professional. The resort sits right beside a long, wide sandy beach. It's so peaceful that all you hear is the ocean. A great way to start the new year. Highly recommend!

For beginners trying to catch waves, Kudawella is the best spot in Sri Lanka, in my opinion. The waves are nicely foamy and there are no rocks, plus there's an amazing resort right there. The staff are helpful and friendly, especially Nila, who sorted us out. Great beginner boards and a perfect location for learning to surf!

The hotel has a great surf school and board rental, and it's a perfect place to learn, especially for beginners. The beachside restaurant has really good prices. The hotel view is amazing too, with a clean pool and a lovely garden.

It's a lovely little private resort where you feel at home straight away. The Ayurvedic treatment was very effective, and the food was great too.

This was the worst experience. I stopped by today hoping to use the spa. The first man said they couldn't serve me without a reservation, which was fair, so I asked how to book. A second man told me to book online, which was fine. When I asked for the website or a business card, a man who seemed to be a manager came over and said I couldn't get service there because it was for Europeans only. He said it was a different concept. What concept is that, racism? I was shocked that there was still racism in Sri Lanka. By the way, I was told the spa was owned by an Austrian.
