Beyond Nomad Luxury Hostel

The owners were so sweet, attentive, and happy to help. They welcomed us with New Year's treats and even gave us a lift to the train station. The breakfast was delicious and there was plenty of it. The rooftop views are incredible, and the rooms were clean with very comfy beds. There’s no AC, but the fan worked well, and it’s not as hot here as in other parts of Sri Lanka. The location is good, a short walk into town and close to Little Adam’s Peak and the Nine Arches. It wasn’t very social for solo travelers, though we visited in low season. No complaints!

The rooftop view is amazing, and the place is in a quiet area where you can recharge. It’s only about five minutes from the city. The owner and his father were really nice and helpful. This is the best hostel I’ve stayed in so far, and there are lots of day trips and activities available. Fellow travelers, don’t hesitate to go!

I was so well looked after after a car accident, the staff couldn’t have done more for me. The manager Berry is hands-on and a top bloke, and he made me feel welcome and appreciated. The staff were brilliant, so I came back for a second stay. This is my favourite hostel in SL, and you won’t regret booking it. The family dinner is a must, and breakfast is great too. The mountain views are unreal, better than any other hostel in Ella because it’s right on the edge of town. They offer every tour you could imagine in the area. Beds have nice curtains.

The rooftop has beanbags, a pool table, and beautiful views. It’s centrally located, with everywhere in town walkable. My room and bathroom were really nice and cleaned daily. Breakfast was excellent value and included in the price, and there are lots of services available. Berry, the manager, is very involved and focused on guests. Whenever I had a question, he replied right away. One of the best hostels I stayed in during my trip to Sri Lanka.
