Little paradise Homestay

We enjoyed our two nights at Ella Little Paradise. It’s comfortable, good value, and has a pleasant atmosphere in a fairly quiet spot compared with the busy town center, though you can still hear some activity nearby. Be prepared for a very steep walk up from town if you're on foot. The shower runs on solar-heated water, so getting a hot shower first thing in the morning can be difficult. It works better if you plan to shower later in the day.

We’ll remember how peaceful it was here for a long time. Birds and wildlife were around from morning until night, and the view over the lush, untouched landscape made it feel like we were right in the jungle. The family running the homestay were so welcoming and thoughtful, always checking that we were comfortable. And the fresh homemade food was some of the best we ate in Sri Lanka. A really special place in Ella. ❤️

You get lovely mountain views from this quiet homestay, even though it’s just up the hill from the busy part of town. Our room was roomy and spotless, and breakfast was delicious. The whole family made us feel welcome and were happy to help, including with recommendations for the beautiful places around Ella.

The family helped us book a taxi while we were in another part of the country, and they also gave us great tips and helped plan our outings. Those are only a few examples of how well they looked after us. I’d highly recommend staying here if you want a family who really understands what good service means.
