Mountain vibe ella

The owner is a funny guy who can recommend places to visit and arrange a scooter. It's a great place to stay in Ella. You're not right by the main street, but the views are stunning. Great overall.

Shiraz is the real highlight here. He somehow knows what you need before you even ask. When we needed a doctor, he found one, and when we needed a transfer, he arranged it. The breakfasts were the tastiest we had at any hotel in Sri Lanka. Add a lovely room, a great view, and good prices, and this is easily one of the best hotels in Ella. Definitely recommend it!

The breakfasts were a real highlight, especially the generous choice of fresh fruit, and the view over Ella’s mountains in the morning was so peaceful. Our room at Mountain Vibe had thoughtful touches like a kettle and wall shelves, and we slept really well on the mattress. Shiraz was charming and funny, and clearly works hard to keep improving the place. We only ended up there after the accommodation we’d first booked disappointed us: it looked much simpler than the photos suggested for the price. We met Shiraz while out walking, and even though he’d hoped to take the day off, he understood our situation and found us a room. We had a wonderful three days and would happily return.

Breakfast was amazing, and Shiraz made the stay even more memorable. He was really helpful, shared lots of tips, and was so friendly that we ended up having a lot of fun together. He became a dear friend of ours 🥳🌺. The place was tidy and lovely, with cozy, comfortable beds. It’s about a 10-minute tuk-tuk ride to the city center. A highlight of our Sri Lanka trip!
