The view is amazing, and it's easy to walk into town. It's a great spot for a morning walk or run too. The owner will help you in any way they can. As a traveller, from my own experience, this is a really nice place. Can't wait to go back 💐💐💐

The upstairs shared area is exceptionally well thought out and makes the most of the phenomenal views. The rooms are big and well equipped, with stunning views too. It's only a short tuk tuk ride from central Ella, which is handy since there's a great night scene there. Highly recommended!

Ella View Hotel has breathtaking views and is a wonderful place to relax in nature. What really made the stay stand out, though, was the staff's honesty and kindness. I accidentally left my AirPods behind, and they found them and went out of their way to return them all the way to me in Colombo. Special thanks to Mr Dinesh, who personally delivered them. It's rare to come across such genuine, trustworthy people. Highly recommend for the views and the team's service and integrity!

The room was very dirty, and it looked like things had only been tidied rather than properly cleaned. There was no housekeeping during our three nights until the owner offered it on our last evening. One of our beds had multiple maggots in it. Water was turned off for one night, there were loud noises at night, and lots of things were loose or coming off the wall, including the toilet. When we arrived, staff were sleeping in the lobby, which didn't give the impression of a tidy, professional hotel. Basics were okay: the shower worked, the only bathroom feature that worked properly, and the bed was fine when clean.
