Elliot Nature Resort

The setting and location are nice, but using the bathroom was really uncomfortable. It wasn’t clean and seemed poorly maintained. At this price, I expected better upkeep and hygiene. It needs improvement.

We paid 3450 per couple for the day out package at Elliot Nature Resort, for six of us. The pool wasn’t clean, and the rooms were missing basics like towels and soap. We had to find and wash glasses ourselves because staff couldn’t handle that simple request. The food was poor, and the service overall was disappointing. The staff were unprofessional and impatient at mealtime. We were only 15 minutes late, yet they knocked on our doors several times and gave unprofessional explanations. The bathrooms were passable for the package price, but this was one of my worst resort experiences. I wouldn’t recommend the place at all.

If you just need an inexpensive place for a night in Galle, this is okay. It’s near the center of Galle Bus stand, and the small rooms were clean with the amenities, including hot water. The curtains were barely attached to the windows, though, and you can hear things since the rooms aren’t soundproof.

There were nine of us, staying in three rooms for one night, and we were very disappointed with the cleanliness at a critical time like this. The sheets were dusty and dirty, and didn’t seem fresh. The AC in one room wasn’t working. We also couldn’t use the kitchen in the family room, even though it was mentioned, because it was occupied for storing their stuff. I wouldn’t recommend this place.
