The owner was a very decent, gentle, and helpful man, and even arranged a tuk-tuk for my trip to Adam’s Peak. The rooms were neat and clean, with hot water and everything else available. It’s near the centre of Hatton, and the prices are very reasonable. I’d strongly recommend staying here.

A lovely, authentic family guesthouse, with peaceful surroundings and a little outdoor spot looking over the tea plantations. It’s just a six-minute walk from the station, and a great place to stop before climbing Adam’s Peak. The family welcomed me warmly, arranged a tour around Hatton for the day, and made a home-cooked dinner. Really good value for money.

We stayed one night on 22 March before taking the scenic train to Ella, and the station was only a few minutes away, which worked perfectly for the early departure. Although we had to get up early, the owners had breakfast ready for us, much appreciated before the long train ride. B.Rose House is a small, family-run place with only a few rooms. We could park our tuktuk safely inside the gate during stop number five of our 15-day Sri Lanka road trip.

The views were beautiful, and the place was great value. We got tea when we arrived, then had one of the tastiest dinners I’ve eaten in Sri Lanka. I’d highly recommend staying here.
