Amanda Hills Kandy

We went to see a room before deciding whether to book, but it was cramped, poorly ventilated, and far too hot for us, so we politely declined and left. Afterward, a staff member spoke about us in a disrespectful, unprofessional way and falsely suggested inappropriate behavior. We hadn’t done anything like that, not even basic physical contact. Making baseless, damaging claims about customers is unethical and deeply inappropriate in hospitality. Based on how they treated potential guests who simply chose not to book, I’d strongly advise others to avoid this place. The experience was extremely disappointing and uncomfortable.

The hilltop setting comes with a bit of a slope to climb, but it also gives you nice views. Walking into the city center is pleasant and takes about 20 minutes along Kandy lake. We enjoyed our stay at the Amanda Hills Hotel. The staff were exceptionally friendly and courteous, and the room was tidy and very clean. There was a fan and air conditioning, plus plenty of windows that could be opened for ventilation.

The view was lovely, and getting to the place was easy. Our room was clean and beautiful, and the staff were helpful and very friendly. A fantastic place, definitely recommended!

Renovation work is underway at the hotel. It has friendly staff and a nice view, and it’s close to all the attractions. The location is a bit up the hill, so the climb back can be a little tiring.
