Eden Kandy

The owner was so helpful, giving advice about Kandy and helping get honest prices for tuk tuks and local experiences. Breakfast was delicious and the beds were really comfortable, too. Staying at Eden felt more like being in a peaceful luxury villa. The kitchen and common rooms were tidy and clean, with plenty of outdoor seating and a small garden with a washing line. A 10/10 stay!

I hadn't stayed in a hostel before, and this one has raised the bar for me. The owner was incredibly helpful, even sorting out shared transport to my next stop. The room was clean, the common areas welcoming, the kitchen well equipped, and breakfast was tasty. It's an easy walk to town along a well-lit street, though not the shortest walk, and it's uphill on the way back. My only downside was that the room got stuffy fast unless I left the window open. I'd highly recommend staying here.

Udaya took care of all the arrangements from my arrival through to departure, including my bus rides, and was always quick to reply. The house and garden are beautiful, the beds comfortable, and the hot shower was a real bonus. He also set up an amazing two-day trek at Knuckles Mountain with great guides and a lovely group. Udaya was wonderful, and I had a perfect stay in Kandy.

I meant to stay one night, then ended up coming back for two more. The villa-style hostel has lovely gardens, clean rooms and bathrooms, and it's only a 15-20 minute walk into town. The owner was a highlight, really friendly and ready to help with anything. Great property and location, highly recommend!
