The on-site restaurant is cozy, the prices very reasonable, and the food delicious. The owner and staff were genuinely kind and helpful, with outstanding service. My room was super clean and had a hot water shower, a huge plus. Mount View Lodge is a hidden gem in Kandy. It’s a little away from town, but the peaceful atmosphere and stunning view make it well worth the visit. Highly recommended, especially for solo travelers. I’ll definitely return if I come back to Kandy. Thanks for making my stay so memorable!

Despite seeing some bad reviews on Google Maps, I went to the hotel and found nothing bad about it. I got a comfortable room with clean bathroom facilities, and dinner too. The staff were very friendly, and I’m satisfied with the service I received. I’d recommend it to everyone. Thank you.

Visited August 23. A ride from the railway station costs about Rs. 300 via Uber/PickMe. This mountain hotel is near Rajapihilla Road, 2km from Kandy center, so you get lovely mountain views and easy access to the city. The staff are excellent, the food is delicious, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Great value, highly recommended.

I’ve stayed here several times, and they’ve always been flexible about check-in and check-out if you talk to them. They also let you bring in outside food, so you can order through uber-pickme. Once, when the AC stopped working, they quickly moved me to another room, great service. It’s on a hilltop with a nice view, and the place feels calm and safe. Reception staff are super friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable. A peaceful, budget-friendly spot for young couples or anyone looking for a relaxing stay.
