The city looks beautiful from this villa high up on the mountain. Sri, the manager, is passionate and professional, and made us feel welcome even during our short stay.

The balcony view was magnificent, and we were greeted with tea when we arrived. We spent two nights on a whole floor of the villa. The owners were lovely and did everything they could to make our stay memorable, especially after my accident in Kandy. The meals were delicious and very generous.

We’d happily stay here again. The hosts were very talkative and shared lots of stories about Sri Lanka, so it’s a good fit if you like chatting and learning about local life. They helped us enjoy local food, too. Even a last-minute dinner order turned out delicious, and breakfast was made to suit us. We were welcomed with a drink despite arriving late, and they took time to explain things and help with our plans. During our two-night stay, they also drove us to central Kandy, free the first time and very cheaply the second. Holistic Villa River is run by the same people and was great as well. They apparently offer Ayurveda experiences.

We spent one night here on July 24, 2025. Sri and his wife were kind, attentive hosts, and their house sits high above Kandi. Breakfast was generous and high quality, with a lovely terrace and an incredible view of Kandi. Definitely an address to remember.
