My dad owned this place until we sold it to a new owner last year, and I wanted to leave a review to remember it. It wasn’t just a hotel to us, it was our home and a homestay for people. We ran it with a lot of care and hospitality, offered breakfast choices, and had an amazing view with the Kandy Tooth Temple right across the way. Our prices used to be low, though I don’t know exactly what they’re like now. It was a place we could truly call home ❤️

We stayed for one night, and the owner and staff were very friendly. The rooms were spacious and really clean. You can walk to the Tooth Relic Temple, the lake, and Kandy City Center. A few things could be better, though. A desk and chair in the room would help, and a tea-making setup would be great too.

The price was pretty low, and the room had AC and a mosquito net, so it was fine for a short stay. Kandy’s tourist center is about a 10-minute walk away. Kids playing upstairs made it a little noisy at times, though I wasn’t in the room much.

We were the Shenoys, travelling with family friends from Mumbai, and spent two nights here in November. Mr. Prasanna and his wife aloma looked after us so kindly, and the cook made excellent string hoppers with chutney. The rooms were roomy and very clean. They also pointed us to 'tilakavardhana' store, which was great for shopping. I’d happily recommend both the homestay and that store.

I came from India for a peaceful holiday in Kandy. The hotel sits right by the lake, close to the Buddha temple, and the caretaker was very helpful. A really nice place.
