The staff deserve praise for their service, and they arranged our Yala safari very comprehensively. We were comfortable in the green surroundings, and the food was delicious and nicely presented.

Heina Nature Resort - Eco Home and Yala Safari is set in peaceful natural surroundings. The resort has a restaurant, darts, free internet, and barbecue facilities. Its chalet units have garden and mountain views, plus living and dining areas, bathrooms, a TV, and a washing machine. Room service is available, and the staff can help arrange fishing, transport rental, and an airport shuttle. Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport is 28 km away.

Gamini and Mr De Silva are caring and attentive, which makes up for the fact that this isn’t a five-star hotel. The rooms are large and comfortable, with air conditioning, ceiling fans, a mini fridge, and even a baby cot. One tip: don’t rely on Google Maps to find the place, or you may end up going around in circles. Call them once you reach Kataragama.
