The house has a lovely garden and is close to a small beach, with Hikkaduwa just 2 km away. There are plenty of things to do there, and Nimal can help arrange different activities. We loved our stay in this big house in the small village of Dodanduwa. It’s a friendly place to get close to everyday Sri Lankan life. Nimal and his wife are lovely and ready to help with anything. They also cook such wonderful, tasty food that you won’t want to leave. We came away with so many good memories of Sri Lanka.

There’s a lovely secluded beach just down the road, or you can kayak in the lagoon or head to Hikkaduwa for a livelier scene. The house itself is wonderful, set among greenery, with a terrace where you can relax and watch nature. You can even pick a star fruit from a tree in the garden. It has everything you need. Another treat is having breakfast and dinner with Nimal's family a little further down the road. The food is very good and authentic, and Nimal is happy to offer tips and help out.

A dream stay, with Sri Lanka’s highlights easy to reach from this house. It’s only 700m from the sea, and we had a wonderful time there.

The host couple treated us to excellent food, and you can arrange individually guided tours as well. We had a wonderful time. It’s a beautiful, peaceful house near the lagoon, with lots of animals to watch in the garden’s natural surroundings.
