Dinner at Experience Rooftop Restaurant was a real highlight. We had proper Sri Lankan rice and curry, full of flavor, with a nice breeze up on the roof. Simple, comforting food. I stayed at Nature Rex Weligama, where everything felt quiet and surrounded by nature. The fresh air and peaceful atmosphere made it easy to relax, while still being close to town.

We only planned on two nights, but ended up extending our stay. Jungle beach is about a five-minute walk away, and there was good surf nearby. The room was clean and peaceful, and the bathroom was lovely, especially the open shower. The family were so sweet, and the location was great. Would absolutely recommend it. Thanks for having us!

The homemade-tasting rice and curry at The Reef Weligama (Experience Rooftop) was a real treat, and made an already lovely stay even better. The place itself was comfortable, clean, and quiet. Highly recommend!

I originally booked three days and ended up staying two months. I fell in love with how peaceful and quiet it is, with greenery all around and magical Jungle beach close by. The people are so lovely too. I definitely recommend this hostel!

The rooms and shared spaces can feel cramped when the hostel is full, and shared rooms don't offer much privacy. The amenities are also fairly basic. Still, it's a sociable, lively place to meet other travellers, with the beach nearby, which is handy for surfers. The owners are friendly and do their best to help, and the laid-back atmosphere is nice for relaxing after a day out.
