The owners are friendly and polite, and the whole hotel puts a lot of attention into cleanliness and hygiene. Rooms are spacious, air-conditioned, and have a good-sized balcony. It's budget-friendly and conveniently close to the airport, with the beach just a one-minute walk away. A good-quality stay 😄

The hosts are lovely and speak excellent English. They arranged a tuk tuk to the airport for a very reasonable 2,000 lkr. The location is great, a stone's throw from the beach, though it may be too rough for swimming during monsoon season, and super-scrumptious Cafe Zen is nearby too. My room was huge and airy, with lovely sea breezes, and there was a kettle. It could use a little TLC, but at 4,000 lkr per night for my walk-in rate, cheaper than booking.com, that wasn't an issue.

The room was clean, and Rani, the friendly owner, arranged a taxi from the airport to our homestay. My friend and I stayed two nights. The family were super friendly, and €33 for the stay seemed fair to us for accommodation in Asia. The extras made the total feel way too high, though. The fan didn't work, so we had to use the airco, and they asked €8 per night for it. We said we'd pay €5 for both nights. Breakfast was €8 and dinner €10. With the taxi, which cost €17, we paid €98 altogether. When we go out to eat lunch or dinner on the street, it's usually around €4/€5. The room itself was clean, so I guess it's okay if you don't mind the high food prices ;)

Everything in the rooms was clean, and the people working there were so helpful and nice. They even arranged a nighttime airport pickup. She also said I could text her anytime if I wanted tips for exploring Sri Lanka. I'd definitely stay again.
