The property is quite large, with an outdoor garden, indoor games including carom and pool, a TV, comfortable seating, and WiFi. Our rooms were well arranged and comfortable, and the heaters worked well. The caretaker and staff welcomed us warmly and were professional and attentive. We had a memorable private birthday celebration, with thoughtful personal touches to the meals. We had an awesome stay and hope to visit again. Highly recommend!

The pool table made evenings fun for everyone, and the large garden was a lovely place to relax in the cool climate. The Walden is a beautiful, spacious villa in Nuwara Eliya, with roomy rooms and comfortable king-size beds. It feels cozy yet luxurious, and would suit families or groups visiting Nuwara Eliya.

The food was great, and Rajan and his family gave us a warm welcome. The service once we were there was excellent, too. The rooms and washrooms were okay, though they badly need upgrading, and the lovely garden clearly hasn't been cared for properly. Booking was a different story. Dealing with Everton and the reservations team was difficult, and their replies were really poor. If you're planning to book, I'd ask for the caretaker's number directly. He was much more helpful and efficient than the office staff.

The peaceful setting at The Walden really stood out. It's surrounded by nature, with lovely views and fresh mountain air, and the villa felt well looked after. A calm, relaxing stay, and one I'd recommend to anyone visiting Nuwara Eliya.

A drink and a game of pool were a relaxing way to enjoy the climate. The place is spacious and well worth the price, with cleanliness and service that were second to none. It's a beautiful spot right in the heart of Nuwara Eliya. Thank you, Everton.
