Yoho Villa Acacia

The breakfast was the letdown. It was marked as included on Booking.com, but the property said that was a system error and didn't serve it. Even so, we felt the villa, comfortable and very neat rooms, and lovely peaceful, clean setting were good value for the price. There's a fantastic view over Gregory Lake and the surrounding area.

We only got to stay one night, but the villa and our time there were fantastic. Waking up to the sunrise through the window was a highlight. The room was very clean, and the manager shared lots of useful suggestions for places to eat and things to see locally. Finding the property was a little tricky at first, though the host helped us quickly. The access road is bumpy for about 150 meters, but it wasn't a big issue. You can also arrange for a chef to cook chosen meals on site, either by supplying the ingredients yourself or having them bought for a small fee. A fantastic option. I highly recommend the place.

The property owner kindly gave us a discount when a funeral meant we had to shorten the three-night booking, which I really appreciated. We arrived at night, and getting up the hill was a little tricky, but our vehicle made it to the property. The caretakers were welcoming and friendly, and took care of what we needed. Lovely property with a breathtaking view. Definitely recommend.

The two chefs were the highlight: both were kind, service-minded, and cooked so well that we're still talking about the food. Credit to the owner for bringing them on board. The rooms and washrooms were clean and well kept, and the interior was good, though the table tennis and pool tables and their playing gear need some refurbishment. We booked the whole villa last week. The outside looked quite different from the photos, perhaps because regular maintenance hasn't been done or construction is underway. I hope whatever work is happening gets finished and the landscaping is restored to look like the pictures. Best wishes.
