Breakfast was included in the price, and we were told to bring provisions only for lunch and dinner. Even so, some of our food was used for breakfast without asking. On our first day, breakfast and dinner were both badly delayed, with no valid explanation. For dinner, the staff agreed to make hoppers with the eggs we supplied for egg hoppers, but served plain ones instead. Only after we complained did they say the pan needed for egg hoppers wasn't working. The eggs we'd brought for dinner had also been used for breakfast that first morning. Staff claimed they had used their own eggs, but when our provisions were returned, one full carton was missing and nobody explained what had happened to it. On the final morning, they used leftovers from the previous night's dinner for breakfast without checking with us. We'd asked for kiribath with fish curry, but got chicken curry made from the chicken we had supplied for dinner. Again, we only learned after complaining that they couldn't find fish that day. We had paid for breakfast, yet our provisions were used and the meal was substandard.

Peace and quiet are a big part of what makes this place special. There's an uninhabited stretch of beach as far as you can see, with a pool overlooking the sea. The rooms are simple, lovely, and all have en suite bathrooms. The people looking after us were incredibly helpful, and the food they made was out of this world. One of the best places I've stayed, and I can't recommend it enough.

The location is fairly remote, which suited me perfectly since I wanted to switch off and relax. The property sits right beside a beautiful beach, and the pool and backyard are lovely places to unwind. The house is cozy with a simple design. I stayed three nights and was really impressed by how welcoming the host was and how keen he was to help make everything go well. You can also arrange a private chef, who prepares local food each day using fresh market produce. Thanks for such a lovely stay!

The waves at the beach are rough and not suitable for small children, but the long, clean shore is beautiful, and the area is quiet apart from local fishermen. This villa was just what we wanted after ten days touring Sri Lanka, a calm place to unwind. It's spacious, thoughtfully designed, very clean, and well cared for. Suba, the caretaker, looked after us so well, and Dushante made delicious meals. We chose what we wanted to eat each day, and our hosts handled the shopping and cooking. Dushante also took us to Rekawa Beach, where we watched turtles at night, an unforgettable experience. We used the laundry service once and found it very convenient. I wish the Booking.com description had included more of the useful extras, such as meals on request, laundry, transport to the nearest town, help organizing trips, and a first-aid kit. Those details would give a better picture of what the villa offers. We had a wonderful time and, although we rarely return to the same place twice, we definitely have to come back.
