Kuwera Eco Lodge

The local safari the hosts suggested became one of our favourite parts of the holiday, and we might have missed it without their guidance. We were at Kuwera Eco Lodge in Sigiriya for our honeymoon, and it was one of the highlights of our whole Sri Lanka trip. From arrival, the hosts made us feel at home with genuine warmth. They knew the area well and patiently answered every question, big or small. The owner has created a real sanctuary, and the respect the team has for him is clear. They work together seamlessly, and their enthusiasm comes through in each interaction. Kasuni was a delight throughout our stay. Her English is exceptional, she knows the local area incredibly well, and her passion for her work was obvious. We felt very well looked after. We’d also like to thank Vasantha, Ruwin, Jiantha, and Pasinu, our fantastic safari driver, along with the wider team we didn’t get to meet personally. Everyone played a part in making our stay special. Kuwera Eco Lodge is a peaceful, welcoming place we’ll remember fondly. It made our honeymoon unforgettable, and we can’t recommend it highly enough. We’re already dreaming of coming back someday.

After a day out around Sigiriya, the pool was just right for a swim. The property feels like a little oasis, with separate freestanding rooms that were comfortable, nicely furnished and had mosquito nets over every bed. Everything looked well cared for. Service was attentive without hovering, and the meals were delicious. We stayed two nights and had a different set menu each evening, with vegetarian and non-vegetarian choices and several dishes served, as is typical for Sri Lankan meals. A great place to stay while visiting the Sigiriya region.

The mud house was even better than we expected. It felt peaceful and close to nature, while still having all the modern amenities we needed. We also loved the calm pool and enjoyed the spa. The Eco Lodge was our favourite stay in Sri Lanka. The staff made us feel so welcome, and the whole experience was warm and tranquil. Breakfast and dinner were both fresh and delicious. We hope to come back soon. Thank you from all of us.

This little bungalow village is a peaceful escape where you can recharge while visiting Sigiriya. The rooms, meals and service all felt carefully looked after, right down to the small details. A lovely place to rest your body and mind.
