Our group of 22 from C.E.B rikillgaskada (Kandy) had plenty of freedom to enjoy ourselves and have fun on the beach. The staff also cooked our meals for us, and they were really tasty. Special thanks to the aunty who made them so delicious. The manager and staff were especially friendly, and the place was great value for money. We’d highly recommend ananda's beach resort. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality! 👏👏👏❤❤☺️

We called to book late and I was nervous about finding somewhere suitable, but seeing the place made me so happy. The owners were kind and helpful, and the beach access was great. It was the nicest beach around there, with no boats or other things nearby. The area around the property is quiet and relaxing, even though lively, crowded spots are just a one-minute walk away. Local shops and communities are close, and laundry was good and cheap. The bedsheets were clean, there was a big-screen TV and AC, and the atmosphere was peaceful. The staff were great, and the cost was great too.

The owner, his mother, and all the staff were so kind and helpful, and the prices felt very fair next to the luxury hotels nearby. We were lucky to find the place at the last minute. It’s right on the beach, with direct access and cozy lounges. The lounge had all we needed, including a fridge, TV, hot shower, and closet. Our room was comfortable and clean, though it could have been a little cleaner. It’s peaceful there, but cafés, restaurants, and backpackers fill the lively streets just a minute away. We joined a snorkeling trip to Pigeon Island with Aqua Dream straight from the beach, and it was unforgettable. The owners also arranged a drive from Trincomalee to Ella. Our driver was the nicest person we met in Sri Lanka, so supportive, kind, and caring. A wonderful stay.

The room has a statement chandelier, pendant lamps, a floor lamp, and a bedside lamp. There are framed paintings and sculptures, along with other decorative items and personal touches. The artwork gives the place a modern feel.

Dinner at the hotel was excellent, and the second room we booked was much better. Its design was dated, but it was clean enough. That was a relief after the first room, which hadn't been properly cleaned. It had holes in the walls, a broken window, a terrible bathroom smell, and badly fitted sheets that made me uncomfortable. The problems with the room and the poor cleanliness really affected my stay. The hotel is due for renovations, and I think it could be better afterward. For now, I can't recommend it.
