The garden is lovely and made the place feel very relaxing. It’s also close to the beach, which was great. Our room was spacious, clean, and nicely furnished, with an outdoor space overlooking the garden. Hot water was available, though the pressure sometimes dropped. It was still quite acceptable. The shared kitchen was a pleasant spot to make drinks and chat with other guests and the owner, Thines. We liked it enough to extend our stay, until the AC problem came up. It was fixed after a technician was arranged, and I give Thines credit for sorting it out. But his first response suggested we’d overused the AC and didn’t immediately take responsibility. That left my wife and me uncomfortable, so we checked out. It was a shame, since everything else had been perfect. I understand local businesses are struggling because of the Iranian US war, but that shouldn’t mean questioning how we used a room and facilities we’d paid for. I wish Thines well and hold no hard feelings.

We booked two nights at Lobster Inn and ended up staying six. The location was a big part of it, just a minute’s walk from a beautiful beach for swimming and relaxing. Friendly dogs at the property added a homey touch, and there were some nice coffee spots nearby for slow mornings. Our room was clean, comfortable, lovely, and good value, and the service was warm and helpful throughout. It’s a little outside Trincomalee town and the main sights, but we liked the extra peace and quiet. We’d definitely stay again.

The owner was friendly and helpful, and the lush, well-kept garden was a lovely extra. Lobster’s air-conditioned rooms were very clean and comfortable for a beach stay. You can hear the waves, and the beach is just a minute away. Great location and vibe, highly recommended.

The host was understanding and really helpful when we changed our plans at short notice, which we appreciated a lot. Our room was spacious and clean, and the garden was beautiful and relaxed, with a terrace just outside where we could unwind. The beach and tasty restaurants were only a short walk away.
