The location is perfect, close to the beach and restaurants. The owner was really friendly and made things easy for us. He even picked fresh coconuts from the palm tree for the kids, and they loved it.

Our time in Uppuveli was memorable, and we’d happily recommend Hotel Sea Shadow. The host made us feel welcome and took care of everything, from arranging our snorkelling trip to Angel Rock to bringing fresh king coconuts and preparing them for us to drink and eat. The room was spacious and had great air conditioning. The beach is a two minute walk away, and the cutest three legged dog was there to welcome us back. It’s a lovely place with a very helpful host.

The rooms were clean and the air conditioning worked well. Our host was such a kind, amazing man, even going out to find fresh coconuts for us when we said we didn’t know where to get a good one. The place is well located for both town and the beach. I wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else in Trincomalee. We loved it :)

The room price is superb. The room itself is basic and clean, with a cold water shower, which was fine in the daytime heat. The owner was really nice and helped without us even having to ask. He arranged laundry for a good price, helped us get drinking water, and brought an extra fan. Restaurants and the beach are both nearby. All kudos to him, he’s the best!

We spent eight wonderful days here and felt right at home. The owner and staff are lovely, and there’s an adorable cat in the garden. We also enjoyed chatting with the other guests. The beach and restaurants are just a three minute walk away. We 100% recommend it.
