The staff were very professional, and that helped make the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. It’s an impressive resort in a beautiful, peaceful setting, suited to a quiet nature getaway or a big celebration like a wedding.

The lake is lovely, the boardwalk paths through the swamp were really interesting, and breakfast was filling with enough choice. The outdoor restaurant dining area is a real treat. TonyResort is a distinctive place, with architecturally interesting cottages and well-planned grounds beside the lake. If you’re after a hotel stay with activities, you might enjoy it. For a cottage-style stay, though, it may fall short. The "family" units take up both floors, but the layout isn’t great: the two bedrooms are upstairs, reached by stairs so steep they could be dangerous for young children or older guests, while the only bathroom is downstairs. There’s no kitchenette, so you can’t prepare meals to eat on the balcony with a nice view, and grilling isn’t allowed either. The air conditioner barely worked, the TVs were outdated, and most channels didn’t work.

We left after one day, even though we’d planned to stay longer. The place could have been a hidden gem, but the Restaurant Manager was rude and arrogant. The food came out cold, and the hygiene of the people preparing it was very poor. I understand now why others have written that they were food poisoned here. My best recommendation is to avoid the place.
