Rentida Guesthouse

We got a terrible welcome. The receptionist was asleep when we buzzed, then couldn’t tell us our room number or answer basic questions. Communication was difficult, and I found the whole check-in experience abysmal. Don’t book here if you want to avoid being frustrated the moment you arrive.

The guesthouse seemed brand new, maybe a month old, and it’s only 200m from the old town. It’s clean and cheap, with a kitchen and friendly staff. The one downside was that the Wi-Fi didn’t reach our room, number 12.

The place looked nice, but felt very budget and the check-in was a nightmare. Nobody answered the bell, and another guest eventually let us in. It took 15 minutes to check us in, and the person at reception gave us keys that didn’t match any rooms. Even with Google Translate it was hard to communicate, but we did eventually get into our room. Other guests said they’d had to check themselves in because the person was so incapable. There weren’t many plugs unless we unplugged the TV, and there was no shampoo or soap. I wouldn’t stay here again unless there was nowhere else, it wasn’t worth the hassle.

Avoid dealing with this guy. I found him arrogant, rude, and crooked. The next day, when I was ready to pay, I contacted him, but the price had gone up drastically, along with the deposit. There was no assurance I’d get that deposit back after the stay.
