AC Hotel Riga

The bar has delicious seasonal drinks and some nice food options. It’s in a good part of Riga, close to plenty of good restaurants. The Old City is a fairly short walk, a little over a mile or about 25 minutes, with the occupation museum, the Lady with the 3 stars, the cat statue on top of a building, and loads of souvenir shops.

Assalamu alaykum! Labdien! I spent two nights at AC hotel by Marriott in Riga. The staff were polite and professional, and the hotel was clean and comfortable. The location was good too. I’d stay there again next time.

It’s a little farther from the old city, but Alberta St with its beautiful Art Nouveau buildings is just one block away. One plus is that there are more restaurants around that aren’t tourist traps. The room was clean and nice, and the staff were very nice too. The restaurant and bar felt overpriced when there are much better local places.

The service was the worst I’ve encountered. My laundry took two days to come back, and then I waited from 10 to 11 am for someone to bring it to reception. They kept saying it would be there in two minutes. I eventually had to leave, after losing an hour. They promised us a king-size bed on the third night, but the new room we moved all our luggage into had two single beds. It took a long time to get another room, and we had to move our clothes and bags all over again. Nobody helped us. I’d look for another hotel; the service here was unbelievably bad.
