Aparthotel Autosole Riga

I hated this place and just wanted to leave the whole time. My vacation was ruined. The room was cramped and gloomy, on the first floor like a dungeon, with metal bars outside the window, sidewalk construction alongside it, and a cemetery across the street. Bedding was the cheapest quality, and the furniture was worse than at Motel 6, cheap plastic. The TV was maybe 19 inches, more like an outdated computer monitor, with three channels that often didn’t work and a damaged wall around it. The bathroom was dirty and moldy. The drain barely worked, leaving moldy water around my feet. Walls and ceilings were so thin I constantly heard people walking and talking. Reception staff were rude and almost never around. We saw them only once, at check-in, and the room wasn’t cleaned during our three-day stay. The location was also nothing like advertised. It’s on the town’s outskirts, a 20-minute tram ride from the center, in a depressing, sleepy neighborhood full of construction, graffiti, and run-down buildings. In the morning, we couldn’t arrange a taxi because no one was at reception, and we nearly missed our flight. We couldn’t call for a cab or catch one in the street because taxis don’t usually go that far from the center unless arranged. This was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. It’s not four-star, two-star at best, and I strongly discourage anyone from staying here.
