We only ate at the restaurant, and the meal was superb. The tasting menu was beautifully balanced, and they adapted the experience for me as a demanding pescatarian who doesn't drink alcohol, not that I really am. One of the most beautiful plates of food I've ever seen was the vegetarian beetroot alternative to the foie gras, caviar and gold leaf dish. The service was charming and smooth. Just as we were leaving, they dimmed the lights, and it was much nicer that way. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Breakfast was good, and the rooms were quiet and clean. The hotel is lovely, with a handy sauna on the top floor and a great spot in Old Town. Staff were really friendly. The bathroom layout could work better, though. The shower door stuck a couple of times, and the way things were arranged made it less practical. I'd stay again.

The front desk team were terrific and happy to help with transport or other advice. I loved finding this small boutique hotel right in central Riga's old town. There are only a few rooms, each with its own style and nice furnishings. You can take the stairs or elevator up to the seasonal rooftop bar. Breakfast downstairs at the Michelin-rated restaurant was amazing.

They even offered a welcome drink while we waited to check in, which was a nice touch. I'm really pleased with the service. They're friendly and happy to help with special requests, and dogs are welcome. The restaurant can seat guests with dogs in a separate room.

We booked the most expensive suite for a getaway after my partner's cancer treatment. There was no hot water on the first night, and the staff didn't apologize or offer any compensation. At that price, I'd expect better service and some kind of compensation when something goes wrong. I emailed after our stay to follow up and never heard back. I wouldn't recommend it. We paid a lot for a disappointing experience.
