Park in by Radisson Riga Valdemara

Adriens went out of his way to tell me what to see in Riga, and his Old Town tips were great. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. I also slept really well in the comfortable beds, and breakfast was tasty with lots of choices for different diets and preferences. Park Inn beat my expectations.

The room temperature made these four nights miserable. We arrived after midnight in early December 2025 to find it at 23°C, and by morning it had reached 24.5°C. I slept badly. I asked the staff three times to fix it. They suggested shutting the windows, which only opened a little and did not provide enough air or cooling, and turning the "zircon" down to 17°C. But the air conditioning does not work in winter, so that did nothing. We moved one floor up to a room with a balcony and a window that opened fully. It was still over 22°C, and the only way to cool it was to leave the window open and put up with the traffic noise. I can't say whether the staff understood or cared, but rooms that stay above 22/23°C in winter are unacceptable to me. I barely slept for all four nights, and this issue alone means I won't stay here on future trips to Riga. There were some good points. The hotel is reasonably priced for what it offers, and breakfast is included. It's close enough to the airport and center, with good public transport connections, which I appreciated in Riga, especially after those awful Ukrainian flag stickers were removed from the buses. The location does have a downside, though: it's beside a busy main road with traffic noise throughout the day and night. Breakfast was plentiful, if not especially lavish. The scrambled eggs were good, though probably had too much cream, and there were sausages, bacon that was too thick and never crisp, boiled eggs, porridge and apparently good pancakes. There was a good bread selection, Greek yogurt, muesli, sunflower and pumpkin seeds, two jams, Nutella, honey, croissants and other sweets. There wasn't much variety or quality in the cakes, and the two coffee machines made fairly good coffee.

It's easy to get into the city from here: the airport bus is convenient, and the center is three stops away. The hotel isn't right downtown, but its location works well. Inside, it was clean, quiet and comfortable, in line with Park Inn standards. Breakfast was very good for both quality and choice.

Adrians made check-in easy with a friendly, professional manner. He paid close attention and made sure everything was arranged, so the process was quick and hassle-free. I really enjoyed staying here.
