Hotel Riu Palace Tikida Agadir - All Inclusive

The location was great, and there was loads of food to choose from. Our room was beautiful, and the hotel was spotless, with staff always cleaning. Everyone was really friendly. My only complaint is that an outdoor pool table and a table tennis table would be nice additions. We had a great holiday.

There isn't a great deal to see or do in Agadir beyond the huge, fairly non-traditional souk about a 45-minute walk away, the dino park, and the cable car. The beach is sandy, but there are rusty tins, broken bottles, and plastic washed up every day, and it's a shame nobody takes responsibility for cleaning it. Inside the hotel, the service and staff were excellent. The chefs took real pride in the food and always looked spotless in their chef's whites. The pools and gym were good, and if you're happy staying on the grounds, it's a great place.

We were a group of 10 and found plenty of seating around the hotel for all of us. The staff were lovely, friendly, and very accommodating. The indoor pool was large, good for swimming, and surprisingly empty. Our rooms were spacious, with seating areas, lots of storage, a cold fridge, and tea and coffee facilities. There was a large shower, but no bath, which is essential for me. The pillows were rock hard and hurt our necks, and my friends had the same complaint. Facilities were excellent overall, and we used the tennis courts at their sister hotel. A table tennis table would have been a nice extra, but wasn't essential. The hotel was fabulous and the food excellent.

The staff were superb, especially the Management, who regularly checked in and asked for feedback, good or bad. The area felt very safe, with the promenade well patrolled. The grounds by the beach were impressive, and the outside pool and seating areas were comfortable, with a few quiet spots. The large reception also worked as a peaceful open entertainment space during the day, with nice decor and comfortable seats. Our first room didn't meet a five-star standard: it was dark and cold, and the heater wasn't working. It was January, and nights were still chilly. We asked to move, and the second room was much better. We hadn't done All Inclusive in 20 years, but there was always a decent range of food and drink, plus three specialist restaurants included. Very good stay, no complaints.
