StayHere Casablanca - Gauthier Loft Living

We travel full time and Morocco was our 65th country, so we spend every day of the year in a hotel or Airbnb. This was one of our worst stays in two years. The facilities were disappointing, and management lacked professionalism and hospitality. We later found a Google review describing almost the same experience, and it was accurate. The property's called “Stay Here.” Our advice is, don't stay here. We booked a Deluxe Studio, but the room looked nothing like the Booking.com photos. Its layout wasn't shown in any of the 140+ images. Management said there were three rooms in that category and we'd been assigned one of them, but all the options should be shown online. Ours had no sofa, and the TV was mounted in a completely different setup. The kitchen was missing spatulas, a dish scrubber, an electric kettle, kitchen towels or tissue, and the microwave's glass tray. We were given just one towel on arrival. After repeated requests and a long delay, we eventually got another towel, kitchen tissue, a kettle, and the microwave tray. While we were out buying groceries, they also added a single bed without asking us, which was a hilarious disappointment. The Wi-Fi kept cutting out. We also asked several times to have our boarding passes printed. First we were told “soon,” then that the printer was broken, then that a mechanic was on the way and they'd fix it soon. They even stopped my husband to get the passes printed at a shop and promised copies before checkout. The next morning there was no update, and in the end nothing was printed.

Our booking somehow ended up here, even though this wasn't the hotel we'd reserved. The bed was comfortable, but there was damp rising up the walls and moldy cupboards from a bathroom leak that had been going on for a long time. The curtains were broken and wouldn't open or close, and the skirting board was coming off the wall. Avoid room 001.

The apartment was lovely and suited me well after a few nights in a riad. Reception was shut when I went to check out at 9:30, though I happened to return five minutes later and it was open then. Owners, if you see this, the cleaning lady was lovely and very helpful.

It's very quiet here, and my husband and I love the place. The kitchen has a pan and a frying pan. There isn't a reception downstairs, so after calling customer care they gave me a mobile number. Someone showed me the studio. I arrived at 3PM even though I should've been able to get in at 4 PM, and everyone was kind. I was asleep, so someone brought towels and water. We really enjoyed this cool residence and will come back insha Allah. I made a quick video of the place we booked, though there are different ones, so just ask :)
