Riad Dar Meziana

The terrace gives you beautiful views across Chefchaouen, and even the walk up makes you feel part of the city. Dar Meziana has lovely traditional decor and is kept very clean and well maintained. Breakfast was fresh, generous, and varied, and the welcoming staff made the stay feel personal. It's also well placed for exploring the medina and nearby sights. Room #5 picks up some morning noise from the lobby and breakfast area, so light sleepers may want to avoid it. The other rooms were comfortable, cozy, and quiet. Check-in was quick and easy, too. I'd happily recommend Dar Meziana for its comfort, cleanliness, views, and charm.

There's a lot of charm to this place, with the feel of an old town building that's about 600 years old. Inside, expect plenty of steep stairs and no elevator. The superior-size rooms are spacious and comfortable, though their style feels from an earlier era rather than elegant. The staff are friendly and helpful. Just be aware that the walk from the nearest luggage drop-off is long and steep, which could be difficult for anyone with walking trouble.

The view from my room was breathtaking and made the mornings especially enjoyable. I also loved how quiet it was. At Dar Meziana, the room was clean and comfortable, the staff were kind and helpful, and the location worked perfectly for what I wanted to do. I'd gladly come back and recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

The staff were really nice and helpful, and the simple room was perfectly fine. Breakfast was super, too. We liked that the location was a little quieter than the middle of the city, and it was on one of the most photogenic streets. Excellent value for the price. I'd happily recommend it.
