Pullman Mazagan Royal Golf & Spa El Jadida

My family and guests stayed from the 30th of December to the 5th of January, and the Pullman team made it a memorable success. Ms.Zineb helped with reservations and booking, Hakima was there through the process, and Abdel-Majid especially made us feel welcome at reception. Many thanks too to Ms. Khadija, the executive housekeeper, and her wonderful team. They went the extra mile and were attentive, keeping every guest room faultless from arrival through departure. Everyone had a great time, and we'll surely come back. I'm grateful to the whole team for their can-do attitude and their usual smiles.

The only good parts of the Ramadan iftar at Pullman Beach and Resort were the Andalusian music group, who kept people entertained away from the chaos, and the views. The organization was chaotic, and the buffet was almost empty just 10 minutes after Adan, with no refill. Even the tea had run out after only 45 minutes. The staff were overwhelmed and exhausted, doing their best with a crowd of hungry people who were simply too many for the tiny dining room. There also weren't enough cutlery or dishes, so people couldn't serve themselves or eat. Given the price, this is definitely a no-go for me or anyone who values a peaceful meal. That's why I gave it two stars.

The breakfast buffet was large, tasty, and had all kinds of choices. The rooms are spacious, with the bath and toilet in separate rooms, and the hotel is clean and relatively new. The grounds are well kept, with a tropical garden feel, and there's a wonderful golf course. There are four restaurants. Reception staff did a really good job, though the bar staff weren't especially helpful or friendly. The outdoor pool isn't heated, and 300 MAD for access to the spa or fitness room is too much.

The buffet was disappointing, with poor quality food and dirty plates and cutlery. The rooms were dirty too, and the hotel feels very old and dated. The pool is clearly old, with lots of tiles missing. I stayed here as part of an Insight vacation and was really let down by the hotel choice. Insight has a higher standard, and I hope they leave this hotel off their list for future guests.
