Dar Magic Fes

The main Medina is about a 15 minute walk away, which we liked. It meant getting some steps in while staying in a quieter part of town. The room was larger than at other riads we’ve tried, though the bed felt hard. We were welcomed with mint tea, and the original tiles and textiles have a real sense of age and are clearly well cared for. The staff helped us find a laundry drop off and book a tour, though the guide wasn’t anything special. We enjoyed breakfast on the roof and had dinner there as well.

They helped us with tours and airport transfers, printed our boarding passes, and were there for all sorts of things. I’m grateful we found the place. It was easy to locate, the area felt safe, and the rooms were spacious, beautiful, and clean. The owner and staff were amazing, and I’ve never felt so welcome. They really went out of their way to look after us. Tea and cookies were available whenever we wanted, and breakfast was made to order when we got up. It was delicious and filling. This was our favorite place to stay in all of Morocco.

I booked on a whim because breakfast was included, and I’m so glad I found this special little place. The neighborhood is peaceful and felt very safe, even though the riad might look a little far out from the Medina. For me, that quiet was a welcome break from the dense, winding center. The neighbors are gentle, I saw no fake guides around, and there’s car access just two minutes away, which is a real luxury in the Medina. The hospitality feels old-fashioned in the best way. The people here are humble, genuinely kind, and care about how their guests are doing. It felt like visiting family. The riad itself has that same old-world charm, with careful details everywhere: tiles, bedding, dark polished wood, handwoven carpets, and pottery. You can see the investment that went into making this charming place. I’ll always stay here when I come to Fes.

Mohamed and Jasmina were especially kind and attentive, always ready to help. Their warm welcome made the stay memorable, and breakfast had plenty of fresh, tasty choices. Riad Dar Fes Medina was spotless, beautifully decorated, and welcoming, with an ideal location for exploring the heart of Fes. I had a wonderful stay and highly recommend it to anyone visiting.
