Be careful with your belongings. We left a bag after checkout and couldn't find it later. When I asked reception about it, they shouted at me and told me to report it to the police. The owner shouted too and used bad words in Darija. He doesn't speak English. There was no soap, and the cars outside made a lot of noise. There are also many scammers in front of the hotel, so be careful. If you have other options, don't choose this place. Safety first, comfort second.

Hotel Bab Boujloud is right across from the historic Bab Boujloud gate, so getting around the medina was easy. After sightseeing, I had a clean, comfortable room to come back to, and it was well kept. The staff were attentive and friendly throughout my stay. I’d happily recommend it to anyone visiting Fes.

The room was clean, though the shower felt a bit small. My husband and I really enjoyed staying here. It’s at the entrance to the Medina, about a mile from the blue gate.

The medina is very close, which was handy, and the room had air conditioning, a real plus in summer. The bathroom came with towels and toilet paper, but no soap. Breakfast was pretty blah. The cleaning lady was pleasant, but getting a smile from the other staff I met felt like hard work. I left thinking I might return, then decided I wouldn’t.
