The room interior looked good, and the bedding was relatively better than at other poor-quality riads in Morocco. But the service was the worst I’ve experienced. When we asked staff for help, the replies made no sense. We had to carry our own luggage up very narrow stairs. When we asked for help, they said nobody at the hotel was responsible for luggage and told us to find people on the street. The electric kettle in our room was filthy. We asked for another, but that one was dirty too. Staff said they usually don’t provide kettles, which is why they gave us another dirty one. There was no room cleaning, and used towels were left hanging on chairs. Breakfast was bad too, nothing was fresh, and the plates and cups were dirty, so we asked for replacements. I would not trust the ratings. This was my worst experience in Morocco.

A magical little fairytale of a place to stay.

My room was just like the one in the cover photo, spacious, with a three-door anteroom. The bathroom had been renovated, but it was neglected. I got a terrible welcome, even though the Riad was vacant in a fully booked Fez. A disagreement then kept going when it could have been avoided, and things ended shamefully. I was a paying tourist who had no idea what was going on, left at the mercy of a female manager who was always irritated and nervous. She didn’t guide me, avoided me, and even chose not to say goodbye without explaining why. I’m still stunned. Maybe the cold, freezing temperatures I endured at this Riad or the lack of anything you could call breakfast contributed to it. A terrible stay, and I paid much more than necessary in cash. The tourists I met had reasonable prices and often magical, enchanting places. I just had no luck!

The room was comfortable with a big bed, and Eric was friendly but kept to himself. The decor is tasteful, though those plastic chairs are a bit much. Breakfast is simple and fairly priced. Great location, and I’d recommend it.

A really good place, and I’d recommend it to young, good people looking for somewhere accessible. The rooms are nicely furnished, and the food is so tasty. The Moroccan dishes were especially good, particularly the ones from Fez. I’m sure you’ll enjoy it as much as I did!
