Riad El Amine Fès - Historic Hotels Worldwide

The lobby looks nice, but the rest was disappointing. We’d requested connecting or adjoining rooms, yet our kids’ room was in a tower at the opposite end of the property from ours. They wouldn’t move us or apologize. Breakfast was four kinds of bread and tasteless eggs. Housekeeping left the used cups and didn’t replace the coffee. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

This riad didn’t match what we expected. We booked two standard rooms, but one was a standard double while the other was tiny, with a bathroom that was far too small and knobs coming off. Zehra wasn’t very accommodating. An event carried on until midnight, and we couldn’t sleep well. They said the riad was full, but at 7:30 the next morning it seemed dead. I had to use my camera torch to get around and ask for breakfast. I wasn’t happy with this riad.

The place is ornate, luxurious, and gorgeous. It reminded me of the Morocco location in Inventing Anna. Service was incredible too, with one server going way out of his way to help us. He went above and beyond.

The rooftop was a highlight, a lovely place to unwind or have dinner, with delicious mixed drinks in the evening. Zehra, Pele, Adil, and the rooftop team were kind, professional, and attentive. They went out of their way to make the whole family feel at home, including the kids and my older in-laws, and the personal touches meant a lot. Traveling with children and older parents can be challenging, but the staff made things feel seamless. My wife, our kids, my in-laws, and I spent a couple of nights at Riad El Amine in Fes, and it was a wonderful stay. We were welcomed warmly from the moment we arrived. The riad is stunning, restored with traditional Moroccan charm and attention to detail. The rooms were spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, with plenty of comfort and a real sense of place. We’re grateful for the experience, would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone visiting Fes, and would love to return.
