The staff really go out of their way to make sure you’re happy. The place is quiet, with spacious, nicely equipped rooms and a relaxing feel. Traditional Moroccan decor has been picked with care. There’s also a restaurant, plus a very good hammam, massage service, and hair salon. A must for a stay in Morocco.

Ahmed and the whole team made us feel valued, took care of every need, and answered all our questions. The hotel is close to the Medina but far enough away for some peace and quiet. If I could rate it ten stars, I would. Definitely recommend!

The cooking course was one of our trip highlights. The chef spoke limited English, so a member of reception stayed with us to translate, and the whole thing was really fun. We loved the view from our top-floor room too. It’s a small riad with a few staff members, and we soon got to know them all. Everyone was smiling and helpful. Of the three riads we stayed in over 11 days, this one felt the friendliest. Its three connected buildings have been beautifully renovated. At the edge of the medina, it’s across the car park from a main part of the souk, which keeps it pleasantly quiet.

My room, number 117, looked over the pool, and I loved hearing the fountain and birds. They offered me one of the beautiful suites, but I was happy where I was. Riad Maison Bleue is lovely, and I felt incredibly welcome. The service was outstanding. It’s clean and comfortable, though not the most luxurious place in the Medina. Set on the Medina’s edge, it’s a welcome break from the narrow alleyways. I’m originally from Northern California’s Bay Area and now live in Valencia, Spain. I travel a lot and have stayed at plenty of luxury places, so that’s the perspective I’m writing from.
