Finding the place was a real struggle, and the washrooms are much too small. Still, the service was great, which really helped make the stay worthwhile. If you’re after a Medina feel, it works, though there are plenty of similar places around. It’s an okay place once you get there.

Achmed made the place feel like home. He’s such a sweet host, probably the best I’ve had. The food was great too, and the location was just right. I’d recommend staying here, easily a 10/10.

The room was cold in early March 2025, with no heating, and the bathroom smelled bad and flooded because the shower drained poorly. I was also worried about the electricity being dangerous for children. Breakfast was repetitive, poor, and not very good quality, and its late start took up our morning. Dinner was okay, though they could have paid more attention to what guests needed. We’d specifically asked before traveling and again on arrival for dinner at iftar, around 18:30, and an early Ramadan breakfast. That was categorically refused, even though there were only four guests at the riad for our three nights. Dinner was generally around 20:00 or later, and on the first night it came at about 21:00, far too late for our kids and for all of us just arriving in Morocco. We couldn’t fast because of the meal schedule. We expected more hospitality, but what we experienced felt superficial. A big disappointment after having high hopes.

The Medina location and traditional Riad architecture were the main positives. The place was hard to find, though, and cleanliness could have been better. Our bathroom was broken, and nobody fixed it after we complained. The rooms were very hot and there wasn’t any toilet paper. We’d asked for an early breakfast before the usual 9 o’clock service, but all they gave us was a couple of croissants with nothing to drink. For what we got, it was definitely too expensive.
