Riad Noor Medina

Step out of the hotel, cross an alley, and you’re on one of the Medina’s main shopping streets. The hotel is a beautiful example of traditional Moroccan design, with a lovely rooftop terrace, right in the heart of the Medina. Even with the Medina’s maze of lanes, signs all over the place make the hotel fairly easy to find.

Mehdi was a wonderful host who went out of his way to welcome us and make sure we had everything we needed. After a day exploring the Fez Medina’s maze, this well-kept, beautiful Riad was a perfect place to come back to. Our double room was cosy, with good air conditioning, a well-equipped en suite, and a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was plentiful: coffee, orange juice, Moroccan tea, fried egg, bread, and other Moroccan treats. Dinner came with a choice of three Moroccan dishes, fruit, and the usual sides, just right for the evening. Tea was available whenever we asked. Having it on the roof terrace during the day or evening, with those views across the Medina, was a real pleasure. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it for an authentic, enjoyable visit.

The rooftop was cosy, with a nice view over the city, and we loved the Moroccan breakfast, both savoury and sweet. The bissara soup was delicious. The riad was clean and decorated in a lovely traditional style, and the young Moroccan woman managing it was friendly and caring. Thank you!

The homemade Moroccan dinner was delicious, and probably the best meal I’ve had in the country. It was full of flavour and gave a great sense of Morocco’s food culture. The rooms were modern and cosy, decorated in a cute, comfortable way, and the staff were very friendly. The riad’s location also made getting to the Medina easy.
