Riad Tahra & Spa Guest house

Moha and Yussef welcomed us from the moment we arrived and made us feel at home. The inner courtyard was a lovely place to unwind after exploring the souks, and our room was impeccably clean. The traditional decor and careful details give the riad an authentically Moroccan feel, in a setting that's both welcoming and elegant. I'd happily return and recommend it to anyone looking for that kind of experience.

We spent two nights here, and Mohammad and Youssef were warm and helpful throughout. Being near the Blue Gate and Medina made exploring Fez easy. After a long day walking around, I had the Hamman and massage, which was fabulous. Jasmine gave me a lovely relaxing massage, and we were also entertained with beautiful Moroccan music. A fantastic place to stay.

After a long drive we were starving, but Muhammad and the kitchen team still took great care of us even though it was late. They served a wonderful tangine dinner with extras, hot Moroccan tea, and an amazing dessert. Breakfast the next morning was just as tasty and well prepared. The room was clean, nicely decorated, and fantastic. We loved the old world Moroccan charm of Riad Tehra, and Muhammad greeted us with a smile and helped carry our luggage in from the street. Many thanks for a memorable stay, we highly recommend it.

The junior staff were polite and kind, and they're the only reason this review isn't even harsher. We never saw the manager. He sent messages through staff instead, which felt cowardly and unprofessional when we were trying to raise pricing complaints. We felt taken advantage of from the start. We were quoted one amount, then asked for more at checkout, even though Booking.com showed a cheaper rate than what we paid in person. Coffee cost 25 dirhams each, with no warning that it wasn't included. The extra charges felt like an effort to squeeze more money out of us. The beds were uncomfortable and we couldn't get proper rest. We left frustrated, uncomfortable, and feeling cheated, like walking wallets instead of guests. The focus seemed to be taking money rather than offering hospitality. I'd urge future travelers to be very cautious or stay somewhere else.
