Riad Belle A Poque

Everyone there was a joy, and I hope to return someday. The staff were kind and accommodating, made a great breakfast that changed each day, and prepared fresh Mint tea whenever we asked. They have a beautiful fireplace and a gorgeous rooftop terrace, where they even served us breakfast. I can't recommend this place highly enough.

Our family stayed three nights in two separate rooms, and it was a really good experience. The location was excellent: about five minutes on foot to the nearby souks and five to ten minutes to the Jema el Fnna. We walked everywhere from the riad. The staff were accommodating and always ready to help. Four receptionists took turns and were excellent about asking if we needed anything. The kitchen staff were friendly, smiling, and easy to ask for suggestions. We had free breakfast included with our booking, and it was lovely. There were hot drinks, juice, turkey slices, eggs on the first day and crepes on the second, plus croissants, bread, and jam, all in good portions. They refilled hot drinks if we wanted. On our departure morning, when an early flight meant we couldn't have breakfast, they packed bottled water, juice, an apple, and a croissant for each of us. We also had lunch at the riad on day two, sandwiches and omelettes, which was extra and paid for at checkout. On our last night they helped us order Pizza hut takeaway. The free Wi-Fi wasn't the fastest but worked okay. It slowed a lot one night, and the receptionist quickly reset it for us. There's a small pool that's nice for a quick dip after a long day, though it's too small for proper swimming, and the water overflowed while we were playing in it. One thing to remember: extras such as lunch and tours need to be paid in cash at checkout. We had trouble with that, even though the hotel booking itself could be paid by credit card. Hospitality: 11/10. Food: 10/10. Facilities: 8/10. Location: 10/10.

I stayed at Riad Belle Epoque many years ago and had an excellent time. Glad to see it's still going strong and earning all those great reviews.

I was nervous at first walking down the alley because I'd been told taxis don't go through there. Once I got inside the Riad, I felt at ease. They told me it was safe and that someone could walk me to the taxi pickup point at any time of day if I wanted. By the second day, I was comfortable walking down the alley myself. The Riad is beautiful, and I'm already missing it. Every staff member was helpful and always smiling. Special thanks to Mohamed, Rahhal, Abdulhak, Fatima and Khudija, who made me feel at home.
