Riad Dar Dialkoum

We were in a bit of a bind, and the staff saved the day by making room for us at the last minute. They were so kind, had lovely personalities, and made us feel at home at this charming Riad in the heart of the Medina. The beds were big and very comfortable, and the air conditioning could bring the room down to the temperature we wanted, which was a real plus in the heat. Breakfast took a while, but it was tasty and plentiful. A fantastic stay.

The Jasmine suite was roomy and had a fridge, plus a TV with Netflix and Prime if you want to sign in to your own account. The toiletries and linens were lovely. Breakfast was huge, and the roof terrace had plenty of sunbeds and places to sit. Just inside the Medina, this is a little haven away from busy Marrakesh, but still only a short walk to the souks and the new part of the city. The place is clean and feels safe, with Moroccan design, tiled floors and walls, water features, and lots of little tucked-away seating areas. The staff were friendly and hardworking. I’d recommend being picked up at the airport, especially if you arrive after dark, as the riad can be a little hard to find.

The location is spot on, near the old city and only a few minutes on foot from the new city. A quiet, clean place with good rooms and very friendly staff.

We chose this Riad to be in the Medina without staying amid the chaos of the central square, and I’d definitely recommend it. The rooms were very spacious, and the staff were wonderful and helpful. They carried our bags when we arrived and when we left, and printed our boarding passes promptly after we received them by email. Check-in was quick and simple. We had to leave very early, so they opened the kitchen at 6:30am and served us petit déjeuner, about an hour and a half before breakfast usually starts.
