Breakfast was generous and delicious, and we could enjoy it in the courtyard beside the palm tree with birdsong around us. Hassan and his team were especially thoughtful when my father became ill, and did everything they could to make our stay easier. The rooftop was a lovely place to unwind, with sunbeds, a reading nook and a small pool for cooling off. Our room was tastefully furnished and the bed was comfortable. The riad itself was calm and beautifully decorated. It’s close to parking, and a porter can be arranged for luggage. We walked to Bachi Palace, Badi Palace and the Saadian tombs, and Jes El Fnaa square was about a 15-minute walk away. We loved staying at this peaceful Marrakech gem.

Hassan’s service really made the place feel special, and breakfast was good. The riad is quiet, even though it’s only a few steps from what we thought was the best shopping street and a great massage and reflexology place, L’Orient. The rooms are small, as they are in most riads, but these have been renovated nicely, with high ceilings, closet space and large bathrooms. The beds weren’t too hard either.

Abdal, the manager, was always kind and ready to help, and the team made us feel genuinely welcome and looked after. They even did their best to provide me with a gluten-free breakfast, which I really appreciated. The riad was spotless and kept to a very high standard. It’s a friendly, welcoming place just a few steps from the busy Medina market streets.

I booked three nights through Expedia, then a few hours later the riad messaged to say they couldn’t host me and told me to request a refund without a penalty. After nine days of going back and forth with Expedia, I was told the riad hadn’t answered calls or emails, so I was still responsible for the full amount. I tried calling them myself and got no response either. Shame on the riad for being so unprofessional, and on Expedia for not taking the customer’s side.

The terrace was wonderful, and our room was clean and nice. The location was great too. A really enjoyable stay, with lovely breakfasts from the hosts. Best wishes to Lahcen and the rest of the team. Ciao Luca
