Al Maaden Ryad 69 a Marrakesh

The course was in unreal condition, easily the best in Marrakesh. We had a fantastic meal after playing, and would consider coming back to play twice next year.

Played May 2025. This was my third course in the area that week, and easily the best. The practice area is nice, and the clubhouse is very plush. It’s a flat walk, so no need for a buggy. Greens were in great shape and nice and slippy. Really enjoyed the round, especially the risk and reward 18th. Recommended.

This was extremely disappointing. We’ve come to this restaurant three times and still haven’t been served. Staff ignore us even when we clearly try to get their attention, and there’s no explanation or apology. It feels like customers don’t matter here. The place is also completely disorganized. Kids play football all over, running around the restaurant area, and balls even hit us while we were sitting. That’s unacceptable somewhere meant to be calm for dining or relaxing. With no service, no staff attention and so much chaos, it’s not a good place to sit, eat or even play golf nearby. It’s poorly managed and incredibly frustrating. After several bad experiences, I can say confidently: never again.

The greens were in spectacular condition, and the fairways were lush and free of divots. There were no players ahead of or behind us, which made for a very relaxed round. There aren’t any trees, but the water hazards are great, and the finishing par 5 is amazing. The clubhouse is impressive, with lovely art dotted around, although the skyline is spoiled by construction work. We got just two small bottles of water with the buggy, and had to pay for them. At 40 deg, that wasn’t enough. I didn’t fancy drinking tap water in the loos, and there was no cart selling cold drinks. Even so, it was a great golf outing and I’d definitely play again.
