Amani Hotel Suites & Spa

We had room 333, looking out over the courtyard, and were very happy with our choice. It was simply furnished, but very clean, with a hair dryer and fridge. The bed was comfortable, the shower had good water pressure, and breakfast offered lots of choice. All the staff were really nice. Other guests were a little noisy coming back late one evening, but it quieted down afterward. The location works well for both CTM Coach Station and the train station. We’d use this hotel again without hesitation.

The breakfast was tasty and varied, and the hotel is well located near the train station, not too far from the airport, and in a pleasant area with lots of restaurants and places to walk. But our room didn’t match the photos on Booking. The air conditioner didn’t work, and the bathroom drain was clogged, leaving water to pool while we showered. I was concerned that a clogged drain could expose us to disease. There were also many items in the room that weren’t mine, so I didn’t think it had been cleaned well. For the price, the cleanliness and comfort weren’t enough. I don’t recommend it.

This is a calm place to come back to after a day of surfing or sightseeing. Amani Hotel is set away from the busiest part of town but still within easy reach of shops, cafes, and the main beach areas. Guests often find the rooms clean and comfortable, with simple, functional furnishings. The staff are usually described as friendly and welcoming, and ready to help with directions, local advice, or activity bookings. Breakfast is generally considered good value with a nice range, and there are pleasant places to sit in the shared areas. Wi-Fi can be unreliable, especially for work or video calls, and the décor and amenities are basic rather than luxurious. It’s a solid, relaxed option if you value quiet surroundings, helpful staff, and a comfortable stay without expecting high-end luxury.

The food at the downstairs restaurant was great, and there are several other restaurants nearby too. The hotel has lovely rooms, a rooftop terrace, and a spa. I especially recommend the massages. It’s about a 45-minute walk from the old town and medina, though there are plenty of taxis around. The staff were excellent, and I had a wonderful stay.
