The rooftop views were wonderful, and I even tried the solarium. I’ve jumped out of an airplane, but climbing up and back down had me shaking. Probably old enough to know better at 56, but I did it anyway 🥴 We stayed four days. The place was calm and quiet despite the busy streets, and the accommodation was beautiful. The staff were amazing, warm and welcoming, and took time to settle us in and explain where to eat, what to visit, and how to get around. Our beds were big and comfortable, and the bathroom was spacious and clean. I loved it and would happily recommend it.

Breakfast and dinner were both fresh, homemade and excellent, served beautifully on the terrace. We had a wonderful stay at Dar El Qadi. It’s right in the medina, but inside it felt peaceful and quiet. The service was attentive and friendly, and we felt welcome as soon as we arrived. A great riad for an authentic, relaxing stay in Marrakech.

I’m extremely traumatized by what happened and can’t sleep. I felt as though I might lose my life. I strongly advise against staying here. The location isn’t good, even within the medina. I was electrocuted when I switched off a broken lamp in the room I shared with two friends. My eyes rolled back, and I couldn’t let go of it until I fell onto my back. My friends saw it happen. The night gardien wouldn’t agree to get me medical care in the medina and only took the lamp out of the room. The owner blamed me and said I had broken it. It was a nightmare.

The location is right in the center, but the place was very quiet. The rooms were clean and had air conditioning, and breakfast was served on the rooftop terrace. When we arrived, they took time to show us around the riad and explain the area. Excellent service. We’d come back.

There’s no taxi access, but thanks to Mohammed for taking me and my suitcase on a bike ride when I was in a hurry! The upstairs suite is stunning, and the building feels beautiful and authentic. As others have said, the team’s hospitality makes up for the small drawbacks of staying in an old riad in the Medina.
