If you're used to budget accommodation, this place is great: clean, with facilities that work well and comfy beds. I've stayed in much worse places with higher ratings and substantially higher prices. This hostel deserves better reviews. All good 🙏♥️🇨🇦

The shower was good, but I wouldn't recommend staying here, especially if you're a woman travelling alone. I only felt safe because I was with a group tour of 20 people. If you do decide to stay after reading this, pack light and bring a lock, earplugs, a sleeping bag and an open mind. There was almost no room for luggage in the crowded bedroom, and the beds had no sheets, just thick blankets that didn't look very clean. Our downstairs room had an open window facing straight into the reception area where the owner and family lived, so there was no privacy; we covered it with a blanket. The doors didn't lock, so I couldn't leave valuables or feel secure at night. The owner's toddler kept coming in and out of our room, and nobody stopped it. The family stayed up late too, which made it hard to sleep on the ground floor. Breakfast didn't seem worth bothering with, since I think there are better options in Marrakesh.

Don't stay here. The three of us had booked a private room for three, but they split us across two female dorm rooms and a bed in another building or hostel. We arrived at 1 pm, the stated check-in time, and waited two hours for a worker to check us in. It felt like they were scamming guests and overbooking rooms. They gave us no keys, there were no lockers, and my bed hadn't been cleaned after the previous guest. My hostel mates said they'd been made to sleep on the roof the night before because the place was overbooked. They never offer compensation or a refund.

We were told on arrival that guests would be locked out after 23:30, despite the listing saying there was no curfew. That made for unnecessary stress and also called the advertised 24-hour reception into question. The card payments listed weren't accepted either, and we had to pay cash. The room was basic with very few outlets. Neither the air conditioning nor the ceiling fan worked, although both were listed as available. With the thick blankets provided, I imagine the rooms would be extremely uncomfortable in warmer months. WiFi was unreliable and sometimes switched off overnight or early in the morning, which hadn't been mentioned. Almost everything seemed to cost extra. Even using the kitchen required payment, and facilities listed such as lockers and key card access were unavailable, unclear or not included, although they weren't marked as paid extras. To be fair, bed linens were indeed not included as stated, and towels cost 10 MAD. The stay was okay, but quite disappointing and not as advertised. The low price comes with a lot of compromises. More honest expectations would have made the experience feel more acceptable.
